What we have been up to.....

Here are some pictures to get me caught up on blogging!  Enjoy!

First day of Preschool.  Haley is in the 3 year old Giraffe class and goes Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 9-2.  Hunter is in the 12 -18 month old Froggie class and goes Monday & Wednesday from 9-2!  Haley loves it and Hunter has finally come around and has lots of fun too!  I joined the gym and run errands on Monday & Wednesday!  =)

One of Hunter's first crafts from school.  I get a laugh at how cute they are.  Koodos to the teachers for getting six one-year olds to make these.

Hunter sporting his Pirate Pete t-shirt!

Riding in the double seat shopping cart at HEB!

Having fun playing Aquadoodle

Silly, silly boy!

Haley's drawing of Jake from the tv show Jake & the Neverland Pirates.  I love how he has no body!  So cute!

Hunter rubbed his macaroni & cheese covered hands all through his hair.  It was so crunchy and gross!

Haley's friend Katie came over one afternoon for a playdate!  I thought it was so cute how they were sitting and playing so nicely with her dollhouse!

Haley's depiction of our family.  Pictured from left to right, Haley, Daddy, Hunter and Mommy.  She also wrote all the letters of our name all around us.

Haley's wild hair after a restful night sleep.  This one took a lot of detangling spray to get out!

Cuties in their Halloween pajamas tonight!

Key West!!!!

Elizabeth and I met up in Key West for a girls weekend at the end of September.  Elizabeth was a co-worker at ExxonMobil and a roommate before I married Steve.  We have known each other for 10+ years and even though she moved from Houston many years ago, we still keep in touch and visit!  In lieu of another trip to Houston or Atlanta, we opted for somewhere new!  Key West was the perfect place!  Beautiful water, pedestrian friendly, low key, and lots of good food & drinks!

On Saturday we rented bicycles and literally rode around the entire island which is approximately 2 miles by 4 miles.  It was fun and we stopped at the Southernmost Point in the continental USA.  It is only 90 miles to Cuba from here.

Elizabeth catching some sun at the hotel pool after bike riding!

Sunsets were gorgeous from out hotel.  There was a nightly "sunset party" at our hotel which we happily joined for a nice glass of wine!

Out for drinks at Caroline's after dinner on Saturday!
On Saturday we had lunch at Turtle Kraals and dinner at A&B Lobster House.  Dinner was AMAZING!  We had drinks at Caroline's Cafe after dinner on Duval Street.  (Duval Street is the party street with all the bars and lots of restaurants that runs through Old Town in Key West.)  Sunday we had lunch at Schooner Wharf and dinner at Seven Fish which was excellent too!

On Sunday we did an All-In-One EcoTour where we rode out in a small catamaran, kayaked around a mangrove island, and snorkeled.  It was fabulous and great to learn more about the area!

I had a fabulous time both relaxing and spending time with Elizabeth!  We decided to make this an annual tradition so we are already thinking about a destination for next year.....any suggestions?

Hunter's 1st Birthday and Steve's 34th Birthday Party

Since Hunter's birthday is September 19th and Steve's is September 22nd, they will forever share family birthday parties.  We hosted one on the 22nd for family and a few neighbors.  I decided on a Pittsburgh Steelers theme as there are not many options that work for a 1 year old and a 34 year old!  It was low key with hamburgers, hot dogs, Greek orzo salad, cheesy potatoes casserole and homemade buttermilk cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese frosting!  Yummy!

The party invite.  I found these online and loved them.  (Note I blocked out our address for the blog.)

Colorado Springs

We travelled to Colorado Springs the last weekend in August to visit my Brother's family!  They have 3 boys so there was a lot going on at all times!
