Happy Halloween! Haley went trick or treating this year and was a bit unsure of the whole thing! She had big eyes watching all the other kids in their costumes! Her favorite part was eating a few pieces of candy afterwards. She kept handing us another piece and telling us to "open it."

Grandma's Visit

I had surgery this past Tuesday and Grandma Dibble came in town to help out! Haley and Grandma have had SO much fun! They have spent hours coloring, building "fall downs" (see picture above), sweeping (see picture below), and playing toys! It has been great having Grandma here and we are sad to see her go tomorrow!

Big Girl

Haley spent yesterday afternoon at our neighbor's house as I had a doctor appointment. At Darcy's house she ate in a booster seat without the tray and she thought that was pretty fun. We gave it a try today and boy, was it ever fun! This afternoon we even went out and bought some plastic plates and place mats! I asked Haley to smile while eating dinner tonight and these pictures are the result. What a silly goose!

Daddy's Drink

Today after nap time, Haley was eating raisins in her highchair and Steve was drinking some smoothie at the bar. (Steve is a BIG fan of Arthur's Smoothies, particularly the Very Berry flavor.) Haley requested some of Daddy's Drink so we gave her a bit in a cup. This is the result:

Happy Thanksgiving

This Monday, October 11th, is Canadian Thanksgiving. I'm not in the Thanksgiving mood unless I hear this song! Hard to believe it is over 10 years old!

Fun Weekend!

Enjoying the Elephants

We had a fun, fun weekend here! On Saturday the weather was beautiful! Summer finally arrived and it was ONLY October 2nd! It was in the mid-70's with big blue skies! (Note: we had a rather cold summer if you haven't heard any of my prior complaints!)

First on Saturday, we headed to the Calgary Zoo! We had a great time and enjoyed the "show" the lions put on! Usually they are fast asleep and far from the fence but on Saturday they were prancing along the fence! They were so beautiful! We also checked out the butterfly house which was beautiful and the dinosaur exhibit. Haley kept saying "more dinosaurs" so I'm guessing she enjoyed that part! That afternoon, Haley & I went to a Princess Dance Birthday Party for our neighbor's 3rd birthday! Haley didn't quite get the whole princess dance theme, but had fun!

Today we started the day off with a trip to "p-town", known as a playground to the common folk, then watched the Steeler's game. Unfortunately they lost in the last few seconds! Oh, well! Big Ben is back in 2 weeks!
