Happy Birthday Steve!

Haley & Steve with the Happy Birthday balloon and cake!
Steve's 32nd birthday was on Wednesday! Haley & I baked a chocolate cake with rainbow sprinkles! Haley also picked out a balloon for Daddy! She liked the one with the various balls (football, baseball, soccer, and basketball) on it! We went out for pizza, had cake, and opened gifts! It was a great celebration!

We practiced saying Happy Birthday all day. I think Haley was a bit distracted by the balloon she picked out for Steve.

The Obermeier's Visit

Dinner at the Lounge at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

The drink that Steve Obermeier "bought" Haley! She LOVED it!

Steve & Giselle Obermeier visited us last weekend from Washington D.C.. Steve went to high school with Steve Obermeier and I met Giselle on my first trip to Pittsburgh! We have been able to see them almost every visit to Pittsburgh and visited them in D.C. 2 years ago for another friend's wedding!

We had a great time despite horrible weather for about half of their visit! On Saturday Steve, Steve, & Giselle headed to Lake Louise and did the Plain of Six Glaciers hike. Haley and I met up with them afterwards at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Hotel where we were staying the night! When Haley & I arrived our room was not ready but the Obermeier room was. We were given 2 drink vouchers and told that our room on the 4th floor would be ready in about 30 minutes. When we went back to pick up our keys, we were given keys to room 882 which turned out to be the Belvedere Suite on the top floor. It was a ridiculous suite that had 2 stories with a spiral staircase, 2 full bathrooms, a living room, a dining table, and the bedroom upstairs. There was also two balconies with amazing views! We had booked a 1 bedroom suite with a mountain view and for some reason, got upgraded! It was fabulous! On Sunday it was too foggy to do any hiking so we headed home and watched the Steelers game!

Here are the photos that Giselle took on my camera from their hike:

It was so great to have them visit! Thanks again Steve & Giselle!

Sesame Street: Will.i.am's Song "What I Am"

A friend shared this with me on Facebook and I think it is quite catchy! Will.i.am is quite talented. I'm going to be singing this all day! And I'm sure Haley will enjoy it too when she wakes up as she is OBSESSED with Elmo!

Winter coat?

So today I had had enough of being stuck inside because it was cold & rainy so we headed to Chinook Mall. I hadn't decided that I was going to buy H's winter coat & snow pants but I found the cutest one at Old Navy today and all baby stuff was 30% off. I got the coat & pants for $55. Not bad, I thought. They seem to be pretty warm and comfy. My only dilemma is whether to keep the size 2T or switch to the 18-24 month. The 2T is a little big but I hate to have to go buy another set in January....what do you think? I can't get the pants on her but finally got her to put the coat on inside. I am able to push the sleeves up over her hands.
