Haley's First Date

This past week has been really busy! On Wednesday, Haley had her first "date" with my friend Simona's 3 month old, Zach. It was great to have a daytime visitor and to have some adult conversation! Then on Thursday Haley and I braved the mall as I needed a dress for a wedding we are attending next weekend. It was nice to get out and I did have some luck at the mall. I got a great dress from Banana Republic along with a new pair of jeans and a few tops. So nice to have clothes that fit that are NOT maternity wear! I also got a new cell phone (YEA!) as the screen on my old one broke and I could not see who called me, my contact list, or read text messages. Here are a few pictures from this past week. Enjoy!

The Gym Times Two

Yesterday was a good day here! I took Haley out for the first time other than to the Doctor's office. We went to the gym (Westside Rec Centre). It actually worked out great. I brought her inside in her car seat (it was cold & snowing) and then once inside, I put her in the Baby Bjorn. I then walked almost 3 miles around the indoor track. It was SO great to "exercise" again! I did get a few strange stares from some people though...

Once we got home I thought Haley may want to "exercise" in her gym. Up until this point she has not enjoyed it much and fussed when put in it. But yesterday afternoon she played in it for 20 minutes. And then again when Steve got home. The video below is from last night! Enjoy!

I'm a proud Mom...

Over the past week, Haley developed a rash on her face, neck and upper chest. Dr. Mom diagnosed it as a heat rash (with the help of www.webmd.com) as things get pretty toasty for both of us during feedings. The rash didn't seem to bother her so I didn't rush her to the doctor, but by Thursday it hadn't cleared up so I made her a doctor appt for Friday. Well, the doctor confirmed that it was heat rash and a bit of baby acne and said not to worry that it would clear up in a week or two. But while at the doctor I asked if we could weigh Haley and she weighed in at 8lbs 15ox. This is about a 2lb. gain over the past 2 weeks! I was so excited that she had grown so much! Her face has gotten a bit more full and she is about to outgrow the newborn size diapers. I'm so proud of my little Peanut!

Steve's parents are here and have enjoyed spending time with Haley! We broke out the Wii last night which was fun! I have attached some pictures from the past few days! Enjoy!

Grandpa & Grandma Swick Visit

Steve's parents, Tom & Sue, are in town visiting us from Pittsburgh, PA. So far we have had a great time hanging out with them. Today Tom, Sue, Haley, & I met Steve at the mall for lunch and then did a bit of shopping. Haley got a few new sleepers and a few pairs of leggings so that she can wear all the onesies that she has. It was nice to get out!
