Lately Haley is obsessed with cutting and scissors.  I purchased a book that has scissor activities and she loves it.  Today's exercise was a pizza pan, six slices of pizza, and pizza toppings.  It is all held together with almost a whole roll of sticky tape.  She was so proud of herself!

Hunter is 9 Months



So happy after bath time!

Hunter was 9 months on Tuesday!  He is the sweetest little guy!  Always smiling! 

Here is what he has been up to:

• Not crawling yet.  He is almost there.  He will get to his hands and knees and then either sits back down or collapse on his belly.  He wants to move so bad.  (Haley didn't crawl till around 9 months.)
• Loves, and I mean LOVES, to walk around the house holding on to my two index fingers.  He would do this all day if I allowed him.  He thinks I am his personal walker.  And speaking of walker, yes we have one but it doesn't move too well and he doesn't like it.  I'm looking to buy him a better push walker if anyone has any suggestions or favorites (or ones they didn't like.)
• Is a good eater still.  He nurses three times a day and gets one formula bottle.  Plus water in a sippy cup.  He still primarily eats baby food and eats most anything except for peas and most meat entrees.  He is eating a little table food (bananas, blueberries, grapes, corn, puffs, yogurt melts, Cheerios) but is not good enough to eat a whole meal yet.
• Takes two naps a day.  On a good day that is two 1.5 hour naps.  He goes to bed around 7:30 and is still an early riser, usually around 5:00 - 5:30.  I'm really looking forward to him outgrowing this stage!
• He loves his sister.  He is always watching her or following her around the house (with the help of my two index fingers).  He wants to touch and play with everything she is and is only 9 months old.  I can only imagine how many fights over toys there will be once he can move on his own. 

I'm back.....

Ok, I know.  I haven't blogged in F-O-R-E-V-E-R!  But, in my defense my computer broke, my husband spent 3 of the last 4 weeks out of the country (not kidding, 2 weeks in Calgary and 9 days in Indonesia) and I just got out of the swing of it.  I still took pictures of what was going on, so here we go....

Sitting fun!  At this point he was sitting ok, but still fell over a lot.

They cleared one of the two lots behind our house.  We enjoyed watching all the action!

Hunter turned 8 months

Playing in the walker, but he does not like it.  (It doesn't move too well, in my opinion.)  He would walk around all day holding on to my fingers if I would let him.  My back says NO!

Haley got her haircut for the second time!  Got about 4 inches cut off.  Much easier to comb after bathtime now!

Baths are now so much more fun with Hunter!

Haley is taking swim lessons 4 days a week for 8 weeks this Summer at the neighborhood pool!  She loves it!

She thinks she is Ariel from The Little Mermaid but says she doesn't have a tail.  She even went off the 1 meter spring board at the pool.  Her teacher was there to catch her.  She has refused to do it again.

The neighbor's grandson was in town for 2 weeks.  They came over for some water fun and a BBQ!

Hunter got a new stroller!  He has 1 lb left until he outgrows his bucket car seat.  I'm so sick of the stroller that holds the bucket that I decided to get a new one and get ride of the entire old set.  Love the new stroller!

Last Tuesday we had a huge storm come through.  There was only a 30% chance of rain that day and the rain was crazy!  I thought I was in a hurricane it was raining so hard!  You literally could not see outside.  We lost the top half of one of the backyard trees.  Power was out for about 10 hours. 

So that is what we have been up to!  Hugs and kisses....
