Busy, Busy, Busy

The snow mostly melted last weekend and Haley took advantage and rode her bike! She LOVES to ride her bike like all the big kids on the street. The bike is a hand-me-down from a neighbor along with the sawed off hockey stick we use to push her. And yes, she is wearing her snow boots . Then we got like 5-6" of snow on Thursday and it is supposed to snow all weekend. Boo!
Laundry basket fun with all the Mega Bloks. This always brings squeals of delight!
On Friday Lucy spent the morning at our house. She came dressed as Cinderella and brought Haley an Ariel (The Little Mermaid) dress too. They had so much fun and Haley cried when Lucy left. So sweet!

On September 13, 2011 we are expecting Baby Swick #2. I had an ultrasound on March 8th so these pictures are a few weeks old. Everything looks great! The baby measured large so my due date was moved from September 19th to the 13th. (They said they only officially move it if the measured date is 6+ days difference.) The 13th is my Grandpa Russ's birthday so the day is special to me!

I am feeling well and getting over the extreme exhaustion I had from about week 5 - 14 or so. During this time I couldn't function if I didn't nap in the afternoon.

My next ultrasound is April 12th! More pictures to come!

Ugh...

Today is April 2nd. Many of my Facebook friends are posting pictures of their kids playing in shorts & sandals or they are in their swimsuits in the sprinkler. Well, I am posting a picture of the 8.5" of snow we have gotten since last night. We are project to get another 2" or so. I know you are all SO jealous...

While in Houston Haley thought it was so funny that Grandma had an apron just like hers. She always refused to wear it but finally today asked me to put it on her. She is going around saying she is wearing an apron just like Grandma. (p.s. she is wearing some way-too-big hand-me-down dress shoes in order to complete the outfit.)

We had a wonderful trip to Houston from March 20th - 29th (24th - 29th for Steve). Steve's roommate from Virginia Tech got married on the 26th in Dallas so we made it a trip to visit my family too! Haley stayed the weekend in Houston with Grandma & Grandpa Dibble while Steve & I headed up to Dallas! It was nice to getaway! And the weather was fabulous too!

We stayed busy as you can see from the pictures above and our daily activities:

Sunday: Haley & I arrived, Aunt Julia & Uncle Ryan visited with their 2 dogs

Monday: Aunt Julia spent the night Sunday night so we did LOTS of playing on Monday with her, I did some shopping in the afternoon with Julia followed by dinner at El Tiempo! Yummy!

Tuesday: Went with Mom to the Perry Home Design Center to help her pick out preliminary finishes for new house they are building

Wednesday: Grandma was off so we went for a long stroller walk and playground trip

Thursday: Went with Grandpa to the Galleria to watch ice skating and then to the Houston Zoo!

Friday: Steve & I left for Dallas, rehearsal dinner at Sambuca

Saturday: Lunch with University of Texas friends at Mattito's, wedding & reception that was lots of fun

Sunday: Drive back to Houston and relaxing

Monday: Relaxing

Tuesday: Flight back to Calgary

Also, Haley was very well behaved on both flights. On the way there, she said quite loudly, "I toot on the airplane." I about died.
